TargetBroney left this in the comments of my previous post:
I want this stock. No, correction: I need this stock. I need it to a degree you cannot possibly fathom. I haven't felt this way since I was a child looking through a brand-new toy catalog at Christmastime.
If anyone from Archangel reads this blog: Send me one of these stocks for T&E and I will be your best friend for the rest of my life.
If anyone needs me, I'll be in my bunk.
I wonder if it will work with the sniper model. The turned down bolt and side mounted scope might be an issue.
ReplyDeleteI want one as well, maybe two...
I wonder if it would work with the M-44 models. I have a beat to heck stock that could use updating.
ReplyDelete...didn't see them on Archangel's site yet :(
The models I've seen have an M44 mounted to the stock. M39s won't work because of the larger barrel diameter though. Bet a 91/59 would look pure sex in that stock.
ReplyDeleteOk... you know my stance on messing with old battle rifles, but...
ReplyDeleteDamn... maybe I'll have to find a bargain bin Mosin-Nagant when things settle down and slap that stock on it.
I'm hoping the stock will be cheaper than the one they make for the Rem. 700, cause then I'd be looking at the same price of a low to mid end modern .308.
I think the video says it retails for $199.
ReplyDeleteWhat about 91/30s? It'll work with those, right? RIGHT???
ReplyDeleteThe good news is that unquestionably looks awesome. The bad news is I have heard a lot of bad things about Archangel stocks, and have had nothing but negative experiences with ProMag magazines (specifically, my Saiga drum auto-ejects at random and inopportune times).
ReplyDeleteIMNSHO, a T&E unit would definitely be the way to go on this one.
I would T&E the heck out of that stock.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty certain it would. I personally don't like the way that mile long barrel hangs off the end of the current offering of stocks(Boyd's, ATI, gunstocks.com, etc) which is why I referenced the carbines.
ReplyDeleteNow I just need to get an M44 I can butcher instead of my civil guard '47...
To quote Tam: I wouldn't use ground up ProMags to line my cat's litter box. The same is true of Archangel stocks.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty slick!
ReplyDeleteLove the straight-in removable box magazine! And there are so few stocks that accept an M44 with the Bayonet affixed!
I have the Archangel on my M-14. Vastly improved ergonomics from the factory wood stock. Everything fits well and my offhand accuracy was improved by about 100%.
