OK, so this is like hardly relevant to anything but I felt like sharing.
A month or so back there was an episode of Dancing With the Stars where one of the couples (don't ask me who) had to do a dance (I think it was the Paso Doble, but I don't know for certain) and they decided to make it "futuristic".
What struck me was how thoroughly they had hewn to what the 1980s thought the future would look like: wild hair (TONS of hairspray, I'm sure), shiny synthetic fabrics, day-glow neon stripes and blocks sewn onto the clothes.
If you look at the front cover of Cyberpunk 2020, you'll know exactly what I mean. It was quite trippy and awesome.
Sent this to Teresa because I loved the second line. She's now sending the video link to her friends "so they can all see what I look like."
ReplyDeleteI find myself forever staring directly at the 80's so as to block out everything else.
ReplyDeleteTWENTY-SECONDS INTO IT I ALREADY LOVE THIS SONG
ReplyDelete...but I need that mofo to stop rapping. Where's the instrumental version?
