Recovering from Halloween

Hi, everypony. Yes,  I'm still alive... Monday was just excessively busy and I spent most of Tuesday in bed dealing with a migraine.

My costume was a big hit at the party I attended; sadly, the promised costume contest didn't materialize, otherwise I would have totally won. And the pictures of it that I shared on Facebook have been so very popular (reception as good or better than last year's) that I think I'm "go" for another Gunnie Cosplay photo shoot with Oleg later this month.

What's that? You want to see the pictures?  Well, I dunno...

Oh all right.

First off, I apologize for not having a full-costume shot. I figured that pictures would be taken at the party during the costume contest, but... grrr.  Anyway, think of that as something to look forward to seeing in the professional shoot later, if that helps.

This is missing the cat ears, but it's a good close-up that shows the mix of leopard girl and tactical accessories.

So what do you think -- am I cute? I was surprised when I looked in the mirror for the first time and saw her looking back at me.  It was a combination of Oh, thank God, I can't see my old terrible face any more and Holy shit, I actually look like a woman now. This is awesome! This feels right.
This is me getting my makeup re-applied after dinner. If I had any doubts about who I was before, this settled them. It didn't just feel fine to have makeup put on me, it felt calming and right and natural. I actually relaxed as it was applied, because it felt so dang soothing!

Me getting my Tactical Glitter Nail applied, with the help of my hosts. The nails coordinate nicely with the dark reinforced areas of the gloves.

A surprise picture taken after the party, when I had begun to remove my gear. Not shown is the 33" spear I made from a Cold Steel Bushman knife, a utility pole from Home Depot, and 100 feet of 550 paracord.

For reference, here is the spear that I made. It's 5'9", and I'm between 5'4 and 5'5 in that picture (depending on the shoes I'm wearing, and I don't recall what those were as this picture was taken close to 2 years ago).

Do you like the pictures? Did they make you laugh? Then please consider dropping some change into my Tip Jar.

I already know what I'm going to be for next year, and I will definitely need help in achieving my dream of going as a sexy Mosin-Nagant.

No, not a Russian sniper -- the rifle itself.
