Things which piss me off

A list, in no particular order:
  • My chronic inability to get anything written on Thursday.
  • Waking up feeling hung-over when I haven't had anything to drink the night before.
  • That there are blogs which only update twice a month who have at least a hundred more followers than I do.
  • That I bust my ass to put out good content at least 3 times a week and no one seems to care.
  • That only one person in the gun-blog-sphere wished me a Happy Blogoversary -- and thank you for that, Brigid! I have many gun-curious girlfriends and I will make sure they read your blog to expand their education.
  • Self-congratulatory circle-jerks which are ultimately meaningless but, nonetheless, hurt my feelings when I am excluded from them.
And now I'm off to shoot things. Later y'all.

  1. Thanks Agirl! It's not that begrudge the success of others, it just bugs me when I feel like I'm being ignored.

And I'm just shallow enough that I'd be happy with "Brilliant, great post!" every time. ;)

Or just link to me whenever I knock it out of the park. :D

  2. You're absolutely right, and I'm sorry about that. Mea culpa. When I get in one of my moods I tend to get hyperfocus and forget about everything else.

So thank you, Linoge. You did indeed wish me a happy blogoversary. :)

Now pardon me while I am dumb for a moment but... 151 followers in Google Reader? Where are you getting that number? I didn't know I could even track followers that way!

  3. I just figured it out. Holy crap! I had no idea!

    So that means I actually have... 151 + 119 + 4 = (counts on fingers and toes)....

    274 readers?

    No shit, really??

Wow... I need to lie down for a bit, my head is spinning....

  4. Since you found the "Details" section of Google Reader, no worries on that count; just remember there may be potential overlap (but probably not much) between whatever two bodies you are counting.

Regardless, you easily have 200+ and probably 250+ readers :).

  5. Count me in as an often-as-I-can reader of the blog. I don't have a Twitter account and my own blog has been shoved-off-the-back-burner for a couple years now, but I still check in to read all your amazing work. Belated Happy Blogiversary!

  6. Happy Late Blogversary! I followed you over (in a completely non-stalkerish manner) from A Girl's place for the Mosin posts, very nice (I have a '43 Tula).
