WNW: Anime Girls Rock Your World

Today's anime may be done on computers and be visually perfect, but it's often soulless. Anime from the 80s and 90s had HEART, dammit!

The Look, starring: Yuri and Kei, aka the Lovely Angels, from Dirty Pair: Project Eden; Priss Asagiri from Bubblegum Crisis: 2032; Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop; and some chick from Kimagure Orange Road (I never watched that series because it was this wacky soap opera with psionic siblings and there were, like, a bajillion episodes made).

Empowered women who kick ass and look hot while doing it.. one of the main reasons I love anime.

  1. what, no mention of Haruko from FLCL?

  2. She wasn't in the video.

    Besides, I haven't seen FLCL.

  3. "...I haven't seen FLCL" - This is a tragedy.

Besides having one of the only interesting visual styles in modern anime, Haruko is the SEX. I didn't realize I loved crazy manipulative space bitches until I saw her.

And she tries to rape a 10 year old boy. I don't know if that qualifies as empowering or illegal, but I'm too busy worshipping a fictional woman to care.

  4. Ryoko does everything for me. Including the dishes.

My infatuation with space chicks is probably why I am unable to maintain a healthy relationship with mortal women. Sure they can surf, but can they surf on the ripples of time? I think not.

  5. BGC Was the first anime I ever loved. <3
