HOLY FUCK IT'S A LIVE-ACTION NEON GENESIS EVANGELION WITH GLADOS AS THE COMPUTER VOICE FIGHTING GODZILLA WHILE THE THE INCEPTION MUSIC PLAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't care if this is utter crap or not, I have to see this movie for the same reason I had to watch Hawaii 5-O:  too many awesome nerd references.

  1. And starring Idris Elba as Bill Pullman!

Why have we been inundated with previews for del Toro's "Mama" instead of this?

  2. "I had to watch Hawaii 5-O"

Oh, so you were the one.

Seriously, though, this one looks good.

  4. NGE without the Angst, that's good.
On the other hand it looks like it's NGE without the plot too, and that's bad.

So basically it's just Independence Day with robots and GlaDOS.
Which is kinda good I suppose. Doesn't make me super hyped though.

  5. This is the kind of movie that you check the critical parts of your brain at the door before entering the theatre, and just enjoy the SFX extravaganza laid out before you.

  6. If only there was a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda in this trailer.

When Ellen does the countdown I could have sworn it was ripped from the game.

  7. Big robots need no excuse.

That said, if any system/vehicle/etc. *ever* sounds like GlaDOS, I am ripping that thing's brain out in a heartbeat.

  8. I had not heard of this one...

Now I'm waiting for it.  Website says July 12, 2013.  Pretty specific for this far out, no?

  9. If only they could work some laser-wielding sharks in there, it would be Oscar material for sure.

  10.  I got more of a Big-O feel than Eva too.   July 12th, 2013 just got blocked out on my calendar.  Can.  Not.  Wait.
